Fish for: channel catfish and walleye
Location: main channel and dam tailrace areas, near bridges and areas without cover, 2 to 4 feet of water with moderately slow current
Use: A 6" worm with a jig
Technique: still fish
Tips: A 3/8 ounce jig hook would be perfect. Use a medium-heavy baitcast or spinning rod with around 17 pound test line.
11 AM - 3 PM

Fish for: bluegill and crappie
Location: flats and bays, near submergent vegetation and logs, 3 to 11 feet of water with slow moving water
Use: A 1" grub or worm with a jig
Technique: still fish
Tips: A 1/8 ounce jig hook will be most effective. Use an ultralight spinning rod with around 4 pound test line.
3 PM - 9 PM

Fish for: bluegill and rock bass
Location: points and backwaters, near docks and emergent vegetation, 3 to 11 feet of water with no current
Use: A 1/2" grub or worm with a slip bobber
Technique: still fish
Tips: A 1/8 ounce split shot will do nicely. Pick a hook around size 10. Use an ultralight spinning rod with around 4 pound test line.
9 PM - 10 PM

Fish for: smallmouth bass and largemouth bass
Location: flats and points, near large rocks and logs, 5 to 13 feet of water with moderate current
Use: A 1" brown, black or blue jig or spinner bait
Technique: cast and retrieve at medium speed
Tips: Pick a jig with a weight of about 1/16 oz. Use a medium-light spinning or spincast rod with around 8 pound test line.
10 PM - 12 AM

Location: humps or reefs and wing dams and closing dams, near logs and large rocks, 5 to 13 feet of water with moderately slow current
